About this event

Mr. Brendan O'Donoghue, VP-Global Public Sector, of ICON will give a presentation on ICON's 3-D concrete printing technology and its application for DOD projects, including work for the Texas Army National Guard at Camp Swift, Texas. In his ICON role, Brendan oversees go-to-market strategy, customer success, partnerships, and sales within the public sector.

Prior to joining ICON, Brendan was an executive at Zipline an autonomous drone company where he led their growth teams for the U.S. government, Asian-Pacific and West Africa . He has also co-founded companies that have built software used by more than 100 government agencies and Fortune 100 companies worldwide.

Brendan also was a past Director at the Office of the U.S. Secretary of Defense, where he led teams that facilitated investments in conflict zones, including working closely with the World Bank, USAID and the Asian Development Bank.

He has a M.A. from John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a B.A. in Economics from Hamilton College.

Brendan lives in Austin with his wife and daughter.

RESERVATIONS

  1. The cost of the meeting is $32/person which can be paid in advance when making your reservation(s) or paid at the door by credit, check or cash (exact change please).
  2. The DEADLINE for reservations is Monday, June 12, by 11 am or until space runs out.
  3. RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST since there will be very little or no walk-in spaces.
  4. You do NEED TO MAKE RESERVATION(s) for the meeting for our tracking purposes and PDH credit.
  5. If you make pay-at-door reservation(s) and are a NO-SHOW and did not cancel the reservation(s) by the deadline, you will be billed for payment of the reservation(s) you made.

CANCELLATIONS

  1. Cancellations of reservation(s) must be made by Monday, June 12, 11 am.
  2. You will receive a refund (minus the Eventbrite fees) for canceled reservation(s) made by the cancellation deadline.
  3. There will be no refunds for any cancellations made after Monday, April 17, 11 am
  4. You can send a substitute for reservation(s) by notifying samesatx@gmail.com. Please be sure to include the correct email address for the substitute so we can provide them the link to the meeting.

MEETING CHECK IN

1. Check in will start after 11:00 am on Thursday, April 20.

2. Please check in not later than 11:30 am because meal service will start promptly at 11:45 am.

MEAL

  1. The meal will be a served plated dish (not a buffet) consisting of a salad, entrée, potatoes/rice, vegetable, dessert and water or ice tea (coffee is available upon request). The beverage, salad and dessert will be pre-set at the tables.
  2. A vegetarian option will be available - select that option when registering.
  3. Meal service is planned to start at 11:45 am so please check-in by or before 11:30 am.

OTHER INFO

  1. There is Professional Development Hour (PDH) credit available for those participating in the meeting, but you MUST BE REGISTERED for the meeting for PDH credit. Certificates will be emailed to registered attendees.
  2. We will post the speakers' presentations (if the speaker(s) give us permission) at our website following the meeting.
